PCB Claims Gate Money Receipts From Dubai Matches
As part of the arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the PCB has laid claim to the gate money and hospitality box revenue from matches held in Dubai, including the much-anticipated blockbuster match on February 23 between arch-rivals India and Pakistan.
According to an insider, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will receive operational costs and ground rent but is not expected to benefit from ticket-related earnings, which the PCB intends to secure.
The ICC selected Dubai as a neutral venue for India’s matches, a decision that aligns with the event’s hosting regulations.
Typically, the host nation retains earnings from ticket sales, hospitality boxes, and associated revenue streams.
In this case, however, the ECB will primarily focus on facilitating operations, with the PCB asserting its right to manage ticket rates and oversee pricing for hospitality boxes under ICC’s guidance.
In preparation, the ECB is set to provide advice to the ICC and PCB regarding ticket pricing structures for different seating enclosures in Dubai.
These recommendations will help finalize an official announcement about ticket prices, which will be available in PKR, INR, and AED, ensuring transparency and accessibility for fans attending the cricket spectacle.
